Worship Service Online Only – October 31

Good Morning Hopkins Community Church,

The Leadership of HCC has decided that tomorrow’s worship service, October 31, will be adjusted to ONLINE WORSHIP only.  Due to an abnormally large number of individuals from the church testing positive for COVID-19 in the last week, and the fact that our whole pastoral staff is under quarantine right now, we will not be holding in-person church.

Pastor Jon will be putting a sermon online tomorrow morning in the same manner that we have done in the past with suggested worship songs to engage on your own.

There are a number of additional scheduling changes for church as well:
  • Sunday School: Unit 1 Lesson 7 will now be next week.  An updated schedule will be sent
  • Hopkids will be leading worship next Sunday instead of tomorrow.
  • HCC Annual Congregational Meeting will now be held on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 11 AM, following the worship service.
  • Informational meetings for Denominational Updates will be rescheduled as follows:
    • Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 4 PM
    • Monday, November 22, 2021 at 7 PM
    • A virtual meeting (ZOOM) will be held on Thursday, November 18 at 8 PM
  • The consistory Meeting for November will be rescheduled (it was on Opening Day anyway).
Thank you for your flexibility.  Sorry for the last-minute changes.  Please keep in prayer those people that have COVID right now!

An email, text, and Facebook post will follow later tonight or in the morning with information on how to access this week’s sermon.

Have a blessed weekend.
