HCC offers several options for giving/tithing in addition to the traditional use of the offering plate
during a worship service (or the offering boxes used at this time due to Covid).
Below we have outlined these choices and options available for you:
1. MAIL
You’re always welcome to use the old “snail mail” method and simply mail your tithe/offering to the church using a check. Please do not send cash to us through the mail. Our mailing address is: 2142 128th Avenue, PO Box 336, Hopkins MI 49328.
2. ELECTRONIC CHECK (set up through your banking system)
The electronic check (also known as Bill Pay) can be set up online through your banking system. You would use Hopkins Community Church as the “bill” you wish to pay, then simply set up the amount you want to send and frequency. Your bank will issue a paper check to be mailed directly to the church at no cost to you. You may indicate your envelope number (if you have one) or the words “General Fund” in the memo line if your bank offers this option.
If you haven’t yet downloaded the Church Center app by Planning Center to your mobile device, please do so in order to set up your online giving directly through the app. You can choose to have your tithe withdrawn from your bank account (ACH withdrawal), debit or credit card, or use Text To Give (use code 84321). With the new app and mobile giving, you are in control of how much you wish to tithe, how often, and what payment method you prefer. More information can be found here: https://www.hopkinscommunitychurch.net/church-center-app-2/
** For those who have been using the Tithe.ly giving platform, you may continue to do so for a little while longer while we work to migrate toward use of the new Church Center app and the new mobile giving platform. When you are able to, please set up your new account within the Church Center app and begin using this method for your online giving. Thank you!
Please feel free to call the office or speak with the Deacons with any questions you may have regarding any of these forms of tithing. As always, we encourage you to give in the spirit of generosity, joy, trust, and worship of God our provider and sustainer!
