Sundays are always excluded from the “40 Days” of Lent.  They are days of both rest and worship; even days when people who were fasting from food would break that fast.  Sundays are a day of celebration as well as we remember each week that Jesus is alive, that He is Lord of our lives, and that we take part in the life of Christ and His mission here on earth.
