HCC Vision Statement:

To Know Christ and to Make Christ Known

HCC Mission Principles:

Belong

Reaching people in the community to welcome them into the body of Christ, whether seekers or unchurched believers.

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40

Being a community of faith where members share Christian Fellowship (CHECK with each other: Cared for, Held accountable, Encouraged in their faith, Celebrated and Known)

“As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” Galatians 6:10

Believe

Helping believers to become grounded in Christian faith and to grow in their participation with the body of Christ.

“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forever, Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18

Gathering and leading people into the presence of God through worship so that they are transformed and mobilized.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is- his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2

Become

Equipping and deploying each believer by using their God-given gifts.

“As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” I Peter 4:10

Sending out each church member equipped to spread the gospel.

He said to them, “Go into all the world to preach the gospel to all creation.” Mark 16:15

Four Ministry Points:

  • Exposing God’s love to those who may not know His Love and Grace
  • Breaking down barriers to belonging to the family of God and knowing God’s Love and their true identity
  • Meeting the needs of the Hopkins community and its people
  • Equipping, Empowering, and Providing opportunities for people to serve God using the gifts He has given them
